Did Albert Einstein starve his wife of sex?

London: Prof Albert Einstein, who laid down major fundamentals in physics, may have starved his wife of sex by demanding her to obey a cruel list of rules, a new book has claimed.
According to the book, titled 'Einstein: His Life and Universe', the scientist barred his wife Mileva Maric from sitting with him or going out together - and even ordered her saying, "Stop talking to me if I request it".
And, Einstein, famous for his theory of general relativity, made clear that sex was a no-no: "You will not expect intimacy from me," 'The Sun' reported.

The cruel list of rules, revealed in the book, insisted his wife tidied his study, did his laundry regularly and gave him "three meals regularly".
They were his conditions for them staying together for the sake of sons Hans and Eduard as their 11-year marriage foundered in 1914.
But, within months his fed-up Serbian missus, 39, fled Berlin, Germany, with the kids for Zurich, Switzerland, and had a breakdown. They divorced in 1919.
Einstein, famed for his E=MC2 theory, later wed cousin Elsa and died in 1955, aged 76.

UK: Woman dentist pulls out ex's teeth after getting dumped

London: A woman dentist in Poland is facing jail after she allegedly pulled out all her former boyfriend's teeth because he dumped her for another woman.
Anna Mackowiak, 34, took revenge on 45-year-old Marek Olszewski when he turned up at her clinic with toothache just days after breaking up with her, the Daily Mail reported.
She gave him a heavy dose of anaesthetic and plucked all his teeth out. She then wrapped his head and jaw in a bandage to stop him from opening his mouth.

She said there had been complications and he would need to see a specialist.
"I tried to be professional and detach myself from my emotions. But when I saw him lying there I just thought, "What a b******'," said the dentist from Wroclaw.
Mr Olszewski, her ex-boyfriend, said, "I knew something was wrong because when I woke up I couldn't feel any teeth and my jaw was strapped up with bandages."
"I didn't have any reason to doubt her. I thought she was a professional," he said.
His new girlfriend has now left him, saying she could not be with a man without teeth.
The dentist is being probed for medical malpractice and abusing the trust of a patient. She faces three years in jail, the daily said.

British woman forces son to live as prisoner

London: A woman in Britain has been found keeping her 10-year-old son locked up in a coal-bunker for over a year for being naughty or stealing food from the kitchen. His room had a soiled mattress, a dirty sleeping bag and a urine-filled potty.
The youngster slept in the padlocked outhouse every night and was imprisoned for hours at a time during the day if he misbehaved.
While the woman, in her 30s, and her partner, in his 40s, lived in comfort in the main house, a tiny window and a badly-wired lightbulb provided the boy light and he was often fed lumps of butter or raw meat in the tiny bunker, the Daily Mail reported.

Police described the conditions as "barbaric" after the boy's mother and her partner admitted to child cruelty in court.
Detective Constable Matt Normanton of the Lancashire Police, said he had never seen anything like it.
"The child was found to be kept in a cell, living in poor, inhumane conditions...It was smaller than a (police) cell. It was just big enough for a single mattress and a ceramic potty which was full of urine," he said.

India displaces China as world's largest arms importer

London: India has become the world's biggest importer of arms, displacing China by accounting for 10 per cent of global arms sales volumes. Over the past five years, India's imports of major weapons increased by 38 per cent between 2007 and 2011, a Swedish security think tank said with Asia topping other regions in arms imports.
The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) in its new report said that India was closely followed by China and Pakistan whose weapons imports constituted 5 per cent each of global sales.
Pakistan took delivery of "significant numbers of combat aircrafts during this period: 50 JF-17s from China and 30 F-16s from US," SIPRI said.

The Swedish think tank said China, which had been world's top arms importer in 2006-2007, has now dropped to fourth place, attributing this to improvements in the country's arms industry and its rising arms exports.
SIPRI said China is now world's sixth largest world exporter of weapons behind the US, Russia, Germany, France and UK.
But "while the volume of China's arms export is increasing, this is largely a result of Pakistan importing more arms from China."
"Beijing has not achieved a major breakthrough in any other significant market," the report said.
According to SIPRI estimates India is likely to spend more than $100 billion on weapons and systems in the next 15 years.
The Swedish institute catalogued India's major recent deals as 126 fighter jets and notable deliveries of other combat aircrafts, including 120 Su-30MKs and 16 MIG-29Ks from Russia and 20 Jaguars from UK.
Other deals include transport planes, submarines and a range of naval vessels, Tanks, small arms and artillery.
