Mumbai: Hardships can either make or break you. Fortunately, it was the latter that happened to Ajinkya Rahane, currently the toast of the Indian Premier League’s fifth edition. If travelling in the local trains is a nightmare for any other Mumbaikar, then imagine the plight of cricketers coming from far suburbs with their huge kitbags. The Rajasthan Royals batsman revealed how the terrifying train journeys from Dombivali to CST over the years have helped him become gritty and determined to achieve success.

Bangladesh postpone their tour of Pakistan
Dhaka: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) postponed their two-match tour of Pakistan next week after a Bangladesh High Court ordered it be delayed for a month because of security concerns. The BCB conveyed the decision to its Pakistan counterpart after the court order on Thursday, dealing a fresh blow to hopes of reviving international cricket in the troubled nation.
A Dhaka university teacher, Khandaker Didarus Salam, petitioned the court to cancel the tour on security grounds. The court said it will review the situation in a month.
IPL 5: Samuels calls his critics 'evil'
New Delhi: West Indies spinner Marlon Samuels on Friday lashed out at the critics of his bowling action in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), saying they were "evil". "They are doing it because they can't play my bowling," the Pune Warriors India allrounder told the Times of India. "If I was hit into the galleries, my action would never have been questioned." The offspinner was reported last week by match officials for a suspect bowling action following his team's match against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings.

Live Updates: CSK openers frustrate Pune
Chennai Super Kings innings:
15th over: 115 for 0. Ganguly puts down another one. Ganguly runs back and tries to take it over his head but ends up sticking one hand out and drops it and adding insult to injury Badrinath smashes the bowler for three consecutive boundaries to bring up his fifty in the process. Two boundaries over square leg and one through the third man makes it fifteen from the over.
14th over: 100 for 0. Badrinath comes down the track off first ball off Kartik's over but misses the ball all ends up but somehow Uthappa misses the ball as well and chance of stumping goes begging. Meanwhile, du Plessis smashes his fourth ball for a huge six over the long-on.
Kevin Pietersen ton carries Delhi to victory against Deccan
New Delhi: Kevin Pietersen smashed a match-winning century as Delhi Daredevils cruised to their fourth victory after crushing Deccan Chargers by five wickets in an IPL game at the Feroz Shah Kotla here on Thursday.
Pietersen (103 not out off 64) clubbed six fours and nine huge sixes as Delhi chased down a challenging 158 in 19.1 overs after Deccan’s skipper Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and elected to bat. Yogesh Nagar, with his unbeaten 23 off 15, provided good support to Pietersen. Deccan were in control when they reduced Delhi to 65 for 4 in the tenth over, but Pietersen, who was dropped thrice on 6, 68 and 94, took full advantage of the lacklustre Deccan fielding as the visitors succumbed to their fourth successive loss.

Google co-founder Brin donates $500,000 to Wikipedia
Moscow: The co-founder of Google, Sergei Brin, has donated $500,000 to Wikipedia's foundation, Wikimedia, the foundation said on its web site Saturday. Brin granted $500,000 from The Brin Wojcicki Foundation, the charity fund run by him and his wife, Anne Wojcicki, reported RIA Novosti.
The money however will not cover all Wikipedia's annual budget of $28.3 million. This week Wikipedia started its annual fund-rising campaign that is due to last until January, with the personal appeal from its founder Jimmy Wales, who created the world's biggest user-created encyclopaedia in 2001. Wales has repeatedly said that there would not be any advertising on Wikipedia.
"Commerce is fine. Advertising is not evil. But it doesn't belong here. Not in Wikipedia," Wales said in its latest address. Last year's campaign raised $16 million to Wikimedia foundation.
Wikipedia was ranked the fifth most popular web-site in Internet with over 470 million unique visitors every month, comScore said in its October's report.
