Live updates: Quick strikes dent Pune

Pune Warriors India:
10th over: Gilchrist brings in spin and introduces Piyush Chawla into the attack. Now for Pune, Robin Uthappa and Mithun Manhas hold key to their recovery and score a competitive total.
9th over: 55 for 4. Harmeet gives away 11 runs in this over, but in the bargain gets the crucial wicket of Angelo Mathews trapped infront of the wickets.
Angelo Mathews lbw b Harmeet Singh 11 (9)

8th over: 44 for 3. Mathews look quite settled down and swing doesn't seem to worry him too much and shows least respect to Mascarenhas and hits two glorious boundaries. One a proper cricketing shot in the mid-on region and the next through the mid-off.
7th over: 32 for 3. Another tight over from Praveen Kumar and gives only three runs. Angelo Mathews has now walked out and Punjab would like to see his back early, going by his reputation as a clean striker of the cricket ball.
6th over: 29 for 3. Dimitri Mascarenhas puts Punjab on top by removing Ganguly in his first ball and Marlon Samuels in the fourth. The delivery to Samuels pitched up and doing just a bit to knock-off Samuels off-stump.
Marlon Samuels b Mascarenhas 2 (12)
Ganguly c Marsh b Mascarenhas 16 (9)
5th over: 28 for 1. A tight over comes to an end from Praveen Kumar, just one run coming off it. It seems batting isn't easy out there with seaming conditions.
4th over: 27 for 1. Awana is hitting the deck and pitching it up by making the batsman play. Ganguly plays the second ball over the extra-cover by making some room for himself.
3rd over: 18 for 1. Second ball of the over, confusion at the middle and Jesse Ryder gets run out. With Ganguly batting, judgement of a run is important. Despite a wicket down, Pune take 10 runs from this over.
Jesse Ryder run out 7 (11)
2nd over: 8 for 0. Parwinder Awana, a talented fast bowler comes into bowl and right away gets the ball to seam at a decent pace. Tight over from the bowler, gives away just three runs.
1st over: 5 for 0. There is swing from the first over of Praveen Kumar. Jesse Ryder and skipper Sourav Ganguly have come out to open the innings for Pune. Last ball of this over, Ganguly slams a four straight down the ground.
Teams:
Kings XI Punjab: Adam Gilchrist (wk/capt), Paul Valthaty, Shaun Marsh, Mandeep Singh, David Hussey, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Bipul Sharma, Piyush Chawla, Parvinder Awana, Praveen Kumar, Harmeet Singh
Pune Warriors: Jesse Ryder, Sourav Ganguly (capt), Marlon Samuels, Robin Uthappa(w), Angelo Mathews, Steven Smith, Manish Pandey, Mithun Manhas, Rahul Sharma, Ashok Dinda, Ashish Nehra
7:45 pm: Punjab's skipper Adam Gilchrist wins the toss and elects to field. Pune brings in the talented allrounder, Angelo Mathews in place of Murali Kartik.
7:15 p.m: Welcome to the 14th match between Kings XI Punjab and Pune Warriors India at the PCA Stadium in Mohali. Pune come into this match with two wins under their belt, whereas in the case of Punjab it's vice-versa.
Pune lead by Sourav Ganguly is a charged up team and presently playing like a unit. On the other hand, Punjab look bit awry and need a win to spur their campaign in this edition of IPL.
