Kings XI Punjab:
20th over: 164 for 4. Punjab managed to keep their nerves to score nine runs and clinch the match. Shaun Marsh plays a key role in this victory with his unbeaten 68 off 40 balls. After much consultation, Thisara Perera bowls the decisive over, but bowls a low wide full-toss and Marsh slashes hard at it one-handed for a six over point. After the six, the match was all but over for Mumbai.
19th over: 155 for 4. It's all happening at the Wankhede Stadium. Punjab takes 11 runs with a crucial hit by Marsh for a six. Punjab need 9 runs from the last over.
18th over: 144 for 4. A lengthy and expensive over from Ojha, as he bowls nine balls. But manages to dismiss Azhar Mahmood, who could have been dangerous at the end.

17th over: 130 for 3. Marsh gets to his half-century and his good run continues in this edition of IPL. But now his job is half done and is the man his team would be banking on.
16th over: 120 for 3. Pollard completes his four overs with 2 for 14 and added to that a crucial wicket of Hussey.

15th over: 119 for 2. Massive over from RP Singh and an important one for Punjab. First ball RP digs in short and Marsh pulls for a boundary and the last one smacks over the bowler's head for a flat six.
14th over: 103 for 2. Harbhajan completes his quota of overs by giving off just 34 runs. From 36 balls, Punjab need 61 runs and Hussey, Marsh hold key to their chances.
13th over: 96 for 2. Harbhajan brings in Thisara Perera into the attack a tad late. Perera can be a handy bowler in the shorter formats. David Hussey creates a shot from nowhere to get four off a decent delivery from Perera.
12th over: 86 for 2. Mumbai need to stop the flow of fours and sixes and Harbhajan here has done well to give none in this over.
11th over: 80 for 2. Pollard keeps tidy in this over. A wicket has done wonders to Pollard's bowling.
10th over: 75 for 2. With two Aussie out their in the middle, things won't be easy for Mumbai and both look in tremendous touch. Harbhajan concedes three fours and 14 runs in this over.
9th over: 61 for 2. Pollard gets through a successful one, where he gets the wicket of Mandeep by giving only two runs. Mandeep tries to clear the midwicket boundary but holes up to Franklin.
8th over: 59 for 1. The in-form Shaun Marsh joins Mandeep in the middle. Marsh drives one through the covers on the up for a four.
7th over: 52 for 1. A successful over from Ojha. Ojha gives Mumbai their first breakthrough by dismissing Nitin Saini. Ojha goes wide off the crease and tosses it up that holds on to its line to trap Saini in front of the wickets.

6th over: 48 for 0. Till now, Mandeep and Saini have done well and need to be patient. Saini gives a chance by flicking one in the air, but lands safely between two fielders.
5th over: 42 for 0. Pragyan Ojha replaces Munaf, who needs some time to cool off. Ojha tosses one up and Saini plays a inside out shot over the covers for four.
4th over: 32 for 0. The openers are taking the opportunity with both hands and playing some excellent shots to frustrate Mumbai bowlers.
3rd over: 26 for 0. Again Munaf faces the onslaught of the Punjab openers. Nitin Saini scores two boundaries and Munaf loses his cool at the end of the over and gives few words to young Saini. Umpire Rod Tucker walks up to Munaf and warns him for this kind of behaviour.
2nd over: 16 for 0. RP Singh looks the bowler of the old, as he looks to be in rhythm. Except for the last ball, which goes for a four off a sloppy fielding by James Franklin at midwicket.
1st over: 10 for 0. Punjab get off to a great start. Mandeep Singh takes two fours off Munaf Patel.
Mumbai Indians:
20th over: 163 for 6. Nice last over from Awana. Punjab fight back into the match with wickets in the middle overs to peg back Mumbai's scoring rate. The turning point in Mumbai's innings was the run out of Dinesh Karthik, where both Franklin and Karthik had staged the set for a 200-plus score.
19th over: 154 for 6. Two wickets and eight runs go in this Praveen Kumar over. Third ball a full-toss, Franklin fails to connect and skies it to long-on. Next ball, another low full-toss which Harbhajan slices it to the covers.

18th over: 146 for 4. Mandeep Singh takes a great catch at the midwicket boundary off Awana to remove the dangerous Pollard. There would have been an another run out, Hussey throws at the non-striker's end and misses by inches.

17th over: 140 for 3. Eight runs at this stage is a tight over in context of Punjab. But one shot, Kieron Pollard chips it through effortlessly between two fielders for four.
16th over: 132 for 3. Another run out that to a crucial stage. Dinesh Karthik turns back for a second run to find his partner Franklin not responding to his call and too late for Karthik to make his ground.

15th over: 129 for 2. First three balls - six, four and six. Praveen Kumar looks distraught with this kind of hitting from Franklin. Both sixes were huge that lands in the crowd and the Mumbai opener seems to be in the six hitting zone.
14th over: 108 for 2. Now runs are coming thick and fast for Mumbai. Mahmood gives 12 runs in this over, which included two boundaries hit by Karthik and both of them off poor deliveries.
13th over: 96 for 2. Dinesh Karthik cuts loose with two successive boundaries of David Hussey. Franklin also gets to his half-century and the two wickets don't seem to affect Mumbai.
12th over: 84 for 2. Bhatt gives away 19 runs. Franklin hits two huge sixes right into the stands and later Karthik also opens up for a four.
11th over: 65 for 2. Chawla gets through a tidy over by giving seven runs. Franklin hold to key to Mumbai innings.
10th over: 58 for 2. What an over from Awana. Rohit Sharma steps out but gets a thick edge to the wicketkeeper.

9th over: 56 for 1. Poor judgement of run on the part of Tendulkar. He flicks one to deep square-leg where the fielder charges on to the ball and backs it up with an excellent throw back to the wicketkeeper. Tendulkar falls short of the crease by miles.
Sachin Tendulkar run out 23 (23)
8th over: 50 for 0. Awana drops Tendulkar at short fine-leg off Mahmood. A simple catch at this level, but might prove dear later in the match. With wickets in hand, Mumbai might launch in the middle overs.
7th over: 42 for 0. Mumbai so far have not been outrageous in their scoring but going at a decent rate. Piyush Chawla bowls his stock delivery, the googly more often.
6th over: 39 for 0. Tendulkar scores two consecutive fours of Azhar Mahmood. First one delicately done, just opens the face of the bat using the pace of the ball to guide it to third-man boundary.
5th over: 28 for 0. Parvinder Awana comes in and bowls a decent over and gives six runs. Fifth ball, Awana pitches it short and Franklin rocks back and flashes at it for a four.
4th over: 22 for 0. After a cautious start by Mumbai openers, James Franklin attacks Bhatt and takes two fours from this over.
3rd over: 11 for 0. Praveen Kumar gets the ball to curve in sharply and wraps Tendulkar on the pads, but the shout for LBW turned down by umpire Rod Tucker. The ball looked liked hitting the leg-stump, but a tough call.
2nd over: 3 for 0. Punjab introduces spin early in the form of Bharghav Bhatt and the left-arm spinner bowls a tidy over. One ball Sachin Tendulkar flashes hard to cover region and almost carried to Piyush Chawla.
1st Over: 0 for 0. Praveen Kumar starts off with a maiden. Moreover, for Praveen it was swing right from the outset. The medium-fast bowler got the ball talking by swinging it away teasingly from James Franklin.
