Albie Morkel looking at IPL to boost SA career

New Delhi: South African allrounder Albie Morkel, who hit a seven-ball 28 to propel Chennai Super Kings to an improbable last-ball win over Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday, is hoping that his IPL exploits help establish himself as a regular in South Africa’s squads for all formats.
Morkel's performance for defending champions Chennai helped the team score what appeared an impossible 43 off 12 balls as they chased down a target of 206, the second highest chase in IPL history. With the ICC World Twenty20 to be held in Sri Lanka in September, Morkel hoped the South African selectors were keeping tabs on his IPL 5 performances.

IPL 5: Warner will increase competition in Delhi: Taylor

New Delhi: A fit-again Ross Taylor is confident of playing for Delhi Daredevils for the entire fifth season of the IPL, but feels the team management will have some tough decisions to make on its overseas players when Australian opener David Warner returns from the West Indies. Taylor is aware that with the presence of Mahela Jayawardene and Kevin Pietersen in the set-up, it will not be easy to fit in among the four foreign players, but he had no complaints.

The $450 Nokia Lumia 900's materials cost $209

Helsinki: Materials of Nokia's new flagship model smartphone, the Lumia 900, cost $209, some 46 percent of its retail price, with the Finnish firm saving on processor and memory cost, teardown analysis of research firm IHS iSuppli showed on Wednesday.
"The Lumia 900 represents a make-or-break effort by Nokia and Microsoft to re-establish their foothold in the smartphone business," the researcher said.
"While Nokia is willing to accept hardware lower margins to carve out smartphone market share, Microsoft also is pitching in on the operating system software side," it said.

In addition to Qualcomm chipset, the Lumia 900 uses Samsung's $58 display, memory from Micron and Elpida, and smaller components from Broadcom and STMicroelectronics, the researcher said.
IHS iSuppli said materials of SII Skyrocket, similar model from Nokia's key rival Samsung, cost $236 as the Korean firms has to use more expensive processor and more memory to reach similar performance.

Money laundering case resgistered against Tatra chief Ravinder Rishi

New Delhi: A money laundering case has been registered against Vectra chief Ravinder Rishi and his firms by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to probe alleged generation of illegal funds in the defence deal between Tatra Sipox UK and defence PSU BEML.
The agency has registered the case after gathering initial details of the probe from the CBI and other official channels and it is set to question few people including Rishi in this regard.
The ED, according to sources, is probing if these defence deals and those involved in the execution of the agreements had 'off the book' or overpriced transactions leading to generation of illegal funds which could have been subsequently laundered in other investment avenues.
The CBI has earlier questioned Rishi many times in connection with the alleged irregularities in the Tatra truck supply to the Army.
